Kirk Franklin besucht seine Fans in Deutschland und kommt am 22. September für ein Konzert in die dm-arena nach Rheinstetten. Im Rahmen des Galakonzerts des 9. Internationalen Gospelkirchentages vom 21. bis 23. September in und um Karlsruhe, kehrt der 12-fache Grammy-Gewinner nach 10 Jahren zu Europas größtem Gospelfestival zurück.

Für Fans der spirituellen Musik gibt es ein Erlebnis mit zahlreichen deutschen und internationalen Künstlern der Gospelszene, wobei Kirk Franklin der krönende Abschluss sein wird. Die Tickets für das Krik Franklin-Konzert am Samstagabend können aber auch ohne Besuch beim Gospelkirchentag bei Ticketmaster erworben werden.

Seit seinem Durchbruch mit dem Album „Kirk Franklin & the Family“ (1993) begeistert Kirk seine Fans mit einer modernen Interpretation christlicher Musik. Bereits im Jahre 1993 revolutionierte er die Gospelszene, indem er geistliche Musik in den urbanen Mainstream brachte. Dabei thematisiert Kirk Franklin wie bei seinem zuletzt erschienenen Album „Losing My Religion“ (2015) seine Vorstellungen von Kirche und Glauben, die häufig auch für Kontroverse sorgen.

In seiner Tätigkeit als Künstler, Speaker und New York Times Bestseller-Autor gilt Kirk Franklin nicht nur als einer der bedeutendsten Show-Größen der Gospel-Musikszene, sondern ebenso als Pionier. Unter anderem arbeitete er bereits mit Legenden wie Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston und auch U2 zusammen. Besonders beliebt ist er bei seinen Fans aufgrund seines authentischen Umgangs in Glaubensfragen.

Der Internationale Gospelkirchentag wird von der Stiftung Creative Kirche und den Kooperationspartnern veranstaltet. Darunter die Evangelischen Kirchen in Baden, Württemberg, Karlsruhe und der Stadt Karlsruhe.
