König Pilsener Arena Tickets

Opened in 1996, the König-Pilsener-ARENA is not only one of the most sought after venues in Germany, but also one of its most successful ones. More than two years of construction and almost 50 million euros were invested into this grand-project before Grammy winner Gloria Estefan was invited to inaugurate the ARENA - back then still known as the "Arena Oberhausen" - with a huge concert.


The König-Pilsener-ARENA is Germany's first multi-purpose arena that was created according to an American model. Up until today, its modern exterior and interior designs as well, of course, as its unique shows by national and international artists drew just about 13 million guests into its gigantic hall. Whether it's Rod Stewart, Kylie Minogue, One Direction, Paul McCartney, Iron Maiden or German punk-legends Die Toten Hosen - this is the place where the stars of the worldwide music-scene find their way onstage on a regular basis, giving their all in front of up to 13.000 people.


In addition to unique concert experiences, the König-Pilsener-ARENA also offers live entertainment in other categories, including comedy, sports, musical and theatre. In its giant interior, the das St. Petersburg State Ballet presents "The Nutcracker On Ice", tapping-superstar Michael Flatley presents his dance spectacle "Lord of the Dance - Dangerous Games" and the world's most successful Pink Floyd tribute band presents the internationally-acclaimed "The Australia Pink Floyd Show - Welcome To The Machine". Furthermore, German stand-up heroes such as Bülent Ceylan, Mario Barth, and Dieter Nuhr perform their successful programs in the ARENA, as well as the mixed martial arts event of the year, "We Love MMA", taking place right here. One of the major highlights of 2015 is the ice-skating musical "Disney On Ice - The Magical Ice Festival", which found its home on the 1.800-squaremeter consuming ice field of the König-Pilsener-ARENA. The musical features, among others, the blue-blooded sisters Elsa and Anna as well as the funny little snowman Olaf from Walt Disney's award-winning animation-movie "Frozen".


Despite its impressive size, the König-Pilsener-ARENA offers an extremely compact atmosphere and thus the very best view from any seat. Last but not least, thanks to the ARENA's air-conditioning, guests enjoy the highest comfort at all times. Access


By car:


The König-Pilsener-ARENA can easily be reached by car thanks to the densely networked highway system of the Ruhr area. You can, for instance, use the motorway A42 and the junctions "Oberhausen Zentrum" and "Oberhausen Neue Mitte".


By taxi:


In front of the König-Pilsener-ARENA is a taxi stop at the side of the street "Alte Walz". Taxis can be booked through the taxi office Oberhausen, reachable via telephone number 0208/666 666 or 0208/222 00.


Our tip:


Try to arrive at the König-Pilsener-ARENA approximately 90 minutes prior to the event itself. The waiting time can easily be bypassed at numerous food stands in the ARENA, as well as at the nearby shopping mall and at the CentrO Promenade.


Public transportation:


You can reach the ARENA from Oberhausen Central Station with every tram and every bus departing platform 1 towards Sterkrade/Neue Mitte. The bus stop Neue Mitte is located directly in front of the König-Pilsener-ARENA.


Parking:


More than 14.500 free parking spaces are available in the immediate vicinity of the König-Pilsener-ARENA. The parking garages 7 and 8, also located nearby the ARENA, are open 24/7.


Wheelchair Users


The König-Pilsener-ARENA is barrier-free and therefore suitable for disabled guests. A pedestrian walkway with only a slight pitch leads from parking garage 8 directly to the main entrance of the ARENA.


The blocks 105 and 111 within the ARENA are specially equipped for disabled people and wheelchair users whilst offering the best possible view onto the stage. In addition, disabled-friendly toilets and washrooms can be found in the foyer.
