By age 14, Vicky Walker was already fronting a rock band. Covering songs by My Chemical Romance, Paramore and Green Day, the group wasn’t destined to last, but it didn’t matter – just three years later, having honed her live performance skills and her understanding of youth culture, Walker would start experimenting with GarageBand and teaching herself how to produce her own music.

A few uploads to SoundCloud followed, but it wasn’t until PinkPantheress began uploading to TikTok that things exploded.In late 2020, a snippet of the PinkPantheress song ‘Just A Waste’ went viral on the app. 2021 proved that the singer’s popularity with Gen Z had been anything but a fluke – subsequent singles ‘Break Off’ and ‘Pain’ also went TikTok viral, with ‘Pain’ reaching No.35 on the UK Singles Chart. Label attention and a feature with GoldLink followed.

In August 2021, PinkPantheress released ‘Just For Me’, which became her biggest success so far on both TikTok and the charts and earned her an Ivor Novello nomination. Debut mixtapeTo Hell With It arrived in October 2021, coinciding with PinkPantheress’ very first live shows in London.January 2022 saw PinkPantheress announced as the winner of BBC’s Sound of 2022 poll, along with the release of a remix album forTo Hell With It.A sample of ‘Just For Me’ in Central Cee’s ‘Obsessed’ also earned her a Song Of The Year nomination at the BRIT awards. Further collaborations followed with Shygirl, Lil Uzi Vert, Willow and Beabadoobee, among others. That spring, PinkPantheress opened for Halsey on the Love and Power tour. Her EP,Take Me Home,arrived at the end of that year. In February 2023, PinkPantheress released a remix of single ‘Boy’s A Liar’ with rapper Ice Spice, which peaked at No.3 on theBillboard Hot 100 and No.2 on the UK Singles Chart.

PinkPantheress' debut album Heaven Knows is set for release 10 November 2023.
