Grugahalle can be reached by car via major motorways of the Rhin-Ruhr area: A52, A3 und A40/A42. Please note that the city of Essen has implemented a low emission zone. The venue is not situated within this zone but access to the venue and some parking areas may be affected from regulations requiring a low emission badge or fulfilling neccessary facts for making an exception possible.

Grugahalle has a direct access to the subway system. Essen Hauptbahnhof/main station is only a 5 minute ride away.

GRUGAHALLE Essen is designed handicapped friendly. In order to cater your special needs it is recommeded to buy your tickets directly at the box office (also via telephone), The auditorium is located on the upper level and can be reached by a lift from the outside. For assistance please ring the bell located next to the lift. When attending a show with general admission an extra podium is provided for wheelchair users. Two toilets for mobility impaired visitors are located on auditorium level, special parking units are located directly at the hall on parking lot P1A.

For visitors arriving by car more than 7,000 parking units are provided within close proximity to the venue - another 7,000 units are accessible within the park and ride system.
