About
Yu will present his new album “to be continued” on a major Germany tour in March 2026
Yu is the rising artist the German pop scene has been waiting for. Growing up in Troisdorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, as the son of a single mother, the singer and songwriter was already dancing and singing alongside street musicians as a child—before performing on the streets of NRW himself as a teenager.
Yu was discovered in 2022 on TikTok, where he began sharing his own songs and filming himself performing outside venues for the waiting fans of his idol, Alligatoah. The German superstar quickly took notice and invited Yu to join him on his Retour tour, giving the young artist his first taste of performing on real stages. Soon after, Yu was signed to Alligatoah’s management team.
Yu’s lyrics are socially critical, always laced with a healthy dose of irony and sarcasm. Through his songs and street performances, he stands up for justice—his music is meant to make listeners think and reflect.
2024 marked Yu’s breakthrough year in the German music scene. That spring, he joined ok.danke.tschüss. on tour and performed at numerous anti-right-wing demonstrations. Over the summer, Yu played his first major festivals before embarking on his own headline tour in winter with his sophomore album. The Yu & You Tour visited ten cities across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland—and was largely sold out.
In March 2026, Yu will kick off his new “To(ur) be continued” tour with more concerts across Germany. He’ll be bringing along his new album “to be continued,” set for release on March 6, 2026.
