K-Pop Phenoms TWICE Return To The Global Stage For 5th World Tour ‘Ready To Be’ | Live in Germany in September 2023
Today, international K-Pop sensations TWICE announced the European dates of their 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’. The worldwide run will hit several cities across Korea, Australia, Japan, Canada, the U.S., UK and Europe. This outing marks the first time ever for a female K-Pop group to perform at Berlin's Mercedes-Benz Arena.
Due to the high demand during the Ticketmaster Presale the band announced an additional Berlin show on 13 September. Tickets go on sale this Friday (28 April) at 10 am CET here at Ticketmaster Germany.
The 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE’’ promises to bring their signature high energy performance and a robust setlist of their chart-topping hits. TWICE’s 12th mini album, “READY TO BE,” was released on March 10.
K-pop outfit Twice formed in 2015, born out of Korean reality show Sixteen. The nine-strong group represents three countries across Asia, with Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Dahyun and Chaeyoung all hailing from South Korea, Momo, Sana and Mina from Japan and Tzuyu from Taiwan.
A series of mini-albums – beginning in 2015 with the appropriately titled The Story Begins – initiated the group’s assault on the charts, with second release Page Two charting in the US. Their bright, infectious 2016 single ‘Cheer Up’ topped the Korean charts and became the best-performing single of the year. Their 2017 Japanese compilation #Twice collected re-recorded singles from their first run of mini-albums and made them the first Korean girl group to go Platinum in Japan.
The group’s first studio album, Twicetagram, arrived in late 2017 and topped the Billboard World Albums chart. Future-pop single ‘Likey’ reached No.1 in four countries and won the Philippine K-Pop award for Song Of The Year. Twice continued their chart domination through 2018 and 2019 with the Japanese-language albums BDZ and &Twice, two Korean mini-albums and No.1 single ‘Candy Pop’. Their seventh EP, Fancy You, made them the best-selling female K-pop band of all time. Twice made their debut on the UK charts in 2019 with Feel Special and on the main US album charts in 2020 with More & More.
Following their 2021 US TV debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Twice made their UK and US singles charts bow with their first English-language single, ‘The Feels’. Their third albums in both Japan and Korea, Perfect World and Formula Of Love: O+T=<3, arrived later that year. A fourth Japanese Twice album, Celebrate, followed in 2022 alongside two Korean EPs – Between1&2 and Ready To Be – in August 2022 and March 2023.
TWICE tickets are available here at Ticketmaster.
