Trivium, die legendäre Metal-Band aus Florida, feiert 2019 ihr 20-jähriges Bandjubiläum. 1999 gründete sich die Metal-Band in Orlando und feiert seitdem große Erfolge auf dem gesamten Globus. Im April 2018 waren die Thrash Metal-Legenden zuletzt für sechs Live-Konzerte in Deutschland unterwegs. 2019 folgte die Rückkehr auf die Zwillingsfestivals Rock am Ring und Rock im Park, sowie eine exklusive Show in Herford.

Seit 1999 exisitiert die Band um Matthew Heafy nun schon und hat in dieser Zeit acht Studioalben produziert – das aktuelle Album „The Sin and the Sentence“ erschien im April 2017. Das Album erreichte Platz 12 der deutschen Albumcharts. Auf dem Album zu finden ist auch der Song "Betrayer" für den Trivium 2019 für den Grammy in der Kategorie "Best Metal Perfomance" nominiert wurden.

Für Trivium typisch ist ihre Progressivität und Produktivität, kombiniert mit dem komplexen Songwriting. Diese Formel hat sie zu einer der erfolgreichsten Metal-Bands gemacht: 2011 schaffte es Trivium mit dem Album „In Waves“ sogar in die Top 10 der deutschen Charts und bis heute haben sich ihre Alben zusammen mehr als eine Million Mal weltweit verkauft. Damit ist die Band schon längst kein Geheimtipp mehr, sondern gehört inzwischen zu den beliebtesten und bekanntesten Acts in der Metal-Szene.
