Am Freitag, den 23. Februar kommt das neue Konzeptalbum von The Low Anthem „The Salt Doll Went to Measure the Depth of the Sea” heraus, auf dem es um die mysteriösen Tiefen des Meeres geht.
Abgetaucht sind die vier Musiker aber zum Glück nicht: Im Mai spielen The Low Anthem ein exklusives Konzert in Köln!
The Low Anthem stammen aus Providence/Rhode Island und liefern seit einigen Jahren spannenden Psychedelic-Folk mit Elektro-Elementen. Die US-Band erstellt spannende Konzeptalben; im Februar 2018 erscheint mit „The Salt Doll Went to Measure the Depth of the Sea“ ihr fünftes Studioalbum. Auf dieser Platte kümmern sich die Multiinstrumentalisten um die Tiefe der Meere und die mystischen Unterwasserwelten unserer Erde.
Mit ihrem vierten Album „Eyeland“ hat die Band ein Album und gleichnamiges Theaterstück zugleich geschaffen. 2006 veröffentlichten The Low Anthem ihr Debütalbum „The Low Anthem“ und 2007 den Nachfolger „What The Crow Brings“. Mit zwei neuen Bandmitgliedern erschien 2008 „Oh My God, Charlie Darwin“. Große internationale Beachtung fand die Band dann 2011 mit dem Album „Smart Flesh“, das mit einem außergewöhnlichen Sound daherkam und der Band einen Platz neben Bruce Springsteen auf dessen Tour einnehmen durfte.
