In 2019 the K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment announced they had a new gem on their hands called ITZY.

Consisting of Yuna, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Lia, and Yeji, the new girl group kicked off the year with their debut single album 'IT’z Different', lead by the pumping single 'DALLA DALLA'. The song peaked at No.2 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, while its video racked up over 17 million views within the first day of its release, breaking the record for most viewed music videos in the first 24 hours by a K-pop group.

Riding on their rapid, high-octane success, ITZY then released their debut EP It'z Icy in July 2019, which featured the lead single 'Icy' as well as a remix of 'DALLA DALLA' among others. By this point, the girl group's following was so zealous that their fans became known as MIDZY. Later in the year ITZY embarked on their showcase tour around Asia titled ITZY? ITZY!

In 2020 ITZY took their showcase tour to the U.S., while releasing their second EP It'z Me. They kicked off 2021 with their first national U.S. broadcast appearance on MTV’s Fresh Out Live, attracting the largest performance views the broadcaster had received for the platform. Later in May, the girls made their debut on the Billboard 200 album chart with their six-track EP Guess Who.

In September 2021 ITZY released their debut full-length album Crazy In Love, which topped multiple Billboard charts, including Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and World Albums charts, and made a strong debut on Billboard’s Top 200-album chart, reaching No.11 and making ITZY only the third female K-pop group to score within the chart’s top 15. The group performed
lead single 'LOCO' on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

2022 saw the release of the Checkmate EP, which became the group's first Top 10-ranking single on the Billboard 200, before closing the year with their first world tour in support of the release. ITZY played eight sold-out venues in America. Another EP, Kill My Doubt, was released in summer 2023.

In January 2024, ITZY announced the Born To Be world tour, which includes a date at Velodrom in Berlin on 28 April 2024.
